LoveMHzAttempting to build AGL for the first time. Pulling from master. Any suggestions? https://gist.github.com/LoveMHz/ae4368d5c4e4e93848449da154faf1ca21:35
furyHi LoveMHz21:36
LoveMHzHey21:36
furyThat error looks pretty ugly O_o does it happen if you try it again a few times? I’ve noticed occasionally here and there a bitbake will fail due to a dependency that hasn’t gotten built yet, but that doesn’t look like one of those...21:38
furyI haven’t built in several days but it worked for me early last week, could be a change that slipped in in the last few days might’ve broken some edge case21:39
LoveMHzThat was the second or third run through. I'm really hoping it's not because of my new workstation, recently upgraded to Ryzen. Disabled ASLR the last run in hope that might have fixed it. Will try another clean build.21:40
furyhmm, wonder if anyone else is building on Ryzen21:42
LoveMHzHopefully not. The platform hasn't been all that stable, at least for me.21:43
furyCould be some kinks need to be worked out for Ryzen on Linux, it being hot and fresh out the kitchen and all21:44
LoveMHzI'm new to this build env, but wouldn't "bitbake -c cleanall agl-demo-platform" be correct for cleaning before building again?21:45
furyI’m not quite familiar with cleaning it that way, I usually just delete the build directory and do the setup script again21:46
furyBut I found a thread on AMD’s forum...21:46
furyhttps://community.amd.com/thread/21577321:47
LoveMHzProbably the same thread I found and spent a while reading.21:47
LoveMHzYep, that one.21:47
furyDamn. You got any other computers to try it on, by any chance?21:50
LoveMHzMight have to pull another one out. Recently I've used this computer or distcc to a local server.21:51
furyoh, I hope you didn’t delete your build directory...I think by default it puts downloads in there. Sorry. There is a way to configure it to store downloads and sstate-cache separately from the build directory, that’s what I do since I build for multiple machine types21:52
LoveMHzHaha, already did. No problem though. I'm spoiled and have GB fiber.21:53
furySweet21:53
furyhttps://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/5FSQazlR21:55
furyThat’s what I did for my site.conf. Then after I source the setup script and land in the build dir, I ln -s ~/.agl/site.conf conf/ before bitbaking21:56
furyThat stores downloads and sstate cache outside and helps speed up subsequent builds21:57
LoveMHzOh nice. Will probably copy that!21:58
furyAGL CI/AT went a step further and added a subdir for different tunings, not sure if that’s something I should worry about but I haven’t had any problems with that setup22:00
furyGoogle Fiber is coming to Louisville, can’t wait for it to come to my neighborhood :P22:01

LoveMHzIt'll spoil you! Been looking at moving, but won't move if it means downgrading my internet. Got lucky with this house. About an hour outside of Atlanta and AT&T decided to run some fiber out here.22:07
furyyeah...even when I only had 50 mbps I could see the difference that super fast internet could make. Gigabit fiber is just insane. That’s faster than some of my hard drives :P22:09
LoveMHzStrange. The same 3 tasks failed again.23:17
