wagijust starting up my brain13:44
donbrownMe too.13:45
wagiwas doing something else till now13:45
donbrownI'm on New York time so I'm working on my first cup of coffee13:45
wagihehe, I am already on my 4th or so13:45
wagialthough my choice is tea these days13:46
wagianyway I'll try to modify the setup so that the kernelci sources are not downloaded instead just mapped from the host into the guest13:46
wagithat would allow me to tinker around with the setup13:47
donbrownThat would be great! Thank you!13:47
wagiwait until you get it :D13:47
wagibtw, I still don't have filltime access to irc. The corperate network is not allowing direct IRC. Though some say SSH is allowed but needs to be cleared first.13:49

toscalixwhich one is the good one?15:53
toscalixah, it is not, it is the titles what are duplicated15:54
toscalixdonbrown: can you add the right title and erase the duplicated one?15:55
toscalixor let me know the title and I will do it?15:55

donbrownYes I will fix it toscalix17:17
donbrownIts fixed17:21
donbrownHi Everyone, I think I fixed the dependencies errors for the KernelCI VM on Debian Jessie 8.7. I'm adding the Backend next, then the Frontend, then the Build Scripts. I'll continue to report progress as I go17:32
wagidonbrown: sounds great17:34
wagiI found a couple of small thingies17:35
wagiI'll hope to be able to send a few patches soon. I need to check the clearance17:35
wagiI suppose I am allowed, but rather be safe than sorry17:35
donbrownCool! Hopefully we can solve this today!17:35
wagiI have a simple approach for mapping local reposities into the vm17:36
wagibasically just have them cheched them out into testing folder which is shared17:36
wagiand then updated the intergration script to clone from the sync folder17:36
wagiif they exist17:36
wagiso you can hack locally see if it works17:37
donbrownI love it. That will save so much time during a clean boot17:37
wagicool. As I said, it's pretty simple17:37
wagibut works for me17:37
wagiand I got a simple fix for my initial problem with updating the gpg keyring17:38
wagifix the port to 80 and I get past the firewall17:38
wagibtw the compiler thing17:39
wagithe cross compiler is in testing17:39
donbrownOriginal Don Brown Quote: "You cannot circumvent a system you do not understand."17:39
donbrownhee hee hee17:39
donbrownAre you working on Debian Jessie as your base or Ubuntu?17:40
wagiI tried first ubuntu xenial17:40
wagibut the mongodb package is missing systemd unit files17:40
wagiso I though I give debian a shot17:40
wagibecause I would like to use debian anyway17:41
donbrownYes, that's what I'm stuck on now with Debian.17:41
wagivirtualbox is nasty17:41
wagibtw the boot hanger17:41
donbrownLet me send you my Vagrantfile and install_dependencies.sh files. These work up to installing the backend and die on the MongoDB17:41

wagiwhile netstat -lnt | awk '$4 ~ /:8888$/ {exit 1}'; do sleep 2; done17:42
wagithat line should bail out eventually17:42
wagiI have a patch for a retry17:42
wagiso it doens't stuck forever17:42
donbrownAWESOME!17:42

wagiyour17:46
wagityping is hard17:46
donbrownyou are very welcome my friend.17:46
donbrownGentlemen, I have good news to report. I have a working KernelCI VM once again!20:19
donbrownI have more testing to do, but i remembered what someone (I think it was bwh) said about finding which commit broke the KernelCI VM. I found a commit dated Dec 12th and that one works. I will test future ones, but at least we know that one works.20:19
wagidonbrown: nice21:01
donbrownThank you! I am glad we are back to where we left off in Dec.21:01
donbrownHowever, I am going to try to port my fix over to the Debian KCI VM since that is our endgame21:04
