JPK61Hi, I still have problems building the widget. I have now gone through all the steps from Building Microservices Natively to Building the Service. But when I want to build the service I only get: CMake Error at conf.d/cmake/config.cmake:183 (include):  include could not find load file:    CMakeAfbTemplatesCall stack (most recent call first):17:58
JPK61CMakeLists.txt:3 (include)I have read in several places that this problem can occur, but i have not yet found a solution.17:58
smurrayJPK61: is that using the autobuild script?18:05
JPK61no, with cmake .. with autobuild i get this message /bin/sh: 1: [: /home/jpk/Schreibtisch/Unbenannter: unexpected operator/bin/sh: 1: [: /home/jpk/Schreibtisch/Unbenannter: unexpected operatorCMake Error: The source directory "/home/jpk/Schreibtisch" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.Specify --help for usage, or press the help button on the18:11
JPK61CMake GUI.autobuild/agl/autobuild:49: recipe for target 'configure' failedmake: *** [configure] Error 118:11
smurrayhrm, I would expect the autobuild script to work18:13
smurrayand you're in the SDK environment? (i.e. sourced the environment-.... file)18:13
smurrayso I just tried here, "autobuild/agl/autobuild package" works for me when I ran it from the top-level of agl-service-can-low-level18:15
smurraythat's with the SDK environment file sourced18:15
JPK61what exactly do you mean, i installed it according to this manual https://docs.automotivelinux.org/docs/en/master/devguides/reference/2-download-packages.html18:17
smurraythe "Natively" part of that documentation refers to building to run on your Linux desktop machine.  I've never bothered trying that18:23
smurrayyou can try running autobuild/linux/autobuild, I guess18:24
smurrayif you're targetting running on e.g. a rpi or some other dev board, you'll need a different SDK18:24

furyhi guys19:18
furyhow's it hangin?19:18
furyassuming all ducks appropriately arranged in a horizontal fashion, i will make it to AGL AMM in honolulu...any excuse to make my first trip to hawaii---err, I mean, tough job, but somebody's gotta do it!19:19
mdpa brutal venue19:24
mranostayfury: bring some bourbon please :)19:34
furyany favorites in mind?19:36
furyhalf tempted to submit to the CFP too, to force me to come up with something cool to talk about :D19:36
mranostayfury: clock is ticking on that.. ends today19:38
furythought it closed friday...but yeah, i knew it's coming up soon19:39

mdpfury, bring him some Old Crow :)19:59
mdpmranostay: you really should specify19:59
furymdp: roger that :P19:59
furybrb looking for bottom of barrel20:00
mdpOC is pretty darn close20:00
mdpI'll take the harper 15 since it's not available in OH atm20:00
furyhere's hoping TSA doesn't take the opportunity to flag me as "suspect" so they can "confiscate" ;)20:02
furyi got real up close and personal with one of their agents last time i flew...apparently strolling through airport security with strange bags of powder has about a 50/50 chance of tripping their "whoa dog" alert.20:03
furyprotein powder, nothing fancy, apparently they'd just never seen it before20:04
mdpfury, wow, that's really unlucky for something so common. I feel safe at least. :)20:08
mranostayfury: Knob Creek or better :)20:09
mranostayspeaking of airports... the TSA-pre line at SFO is insane now. Glad I have CLEAR :)20:10
mranostayfury: i usually have a "we checked your bag" notice in my luggage.. seems traveling with a lot of electronics and wires does that20:13
mdpmranostay: plus you're on lists :)20:15
mranostayhey now my GE was renewed in like 3 days :)20:19
waltminerFury please submit a CFP.20:22
waltminerWe'd love to hear what you have been doing with AGL20:23
waltminerEmail me directly if you want to talk about possible topics20:23
furywaltminer: i'll give it a shot. i've only done a couple of small presentations at local meetups so far, but planning a couple others over the next couple months. what is the difference between a session and a BoF?20:48
waltminerIn a session you would typically give a presentation and/or show a demo and try to leave some time for Q&A.  I think we will have 40 minute sessions this time.20:50
waltminerBoF would be a short (5-10 minute) presentation followed by a group discussion. Usually you get people who are interested in the topic and want to collaborate with others20:51
waltminerI see you more a presentation than a BoF20:51
furyi'm doing a talk at next month's kubernetes meetup in town describing the general setup i use for my k8s cluster at work. and I'm planning a big one in march at a devops meetup. that one will be super fun. DevOps on the hard stuff, with GitLab CI/CD and some mobile/embedded systems & auto updates. although, I don't know if I'll have enough bandwidth there to do an AGL build/update20:51
furybasically i've whittled away as much time between code commit & app deployment on the review device - currently working fairly well on iOS, have a custom embedded system prototype (made of our hardware) that has an iOS app deliver the update to it over bluetooth, and have some idea of how i might do it on AGL, although not the cleanest20:53
furyon iOS it's down to like maybe 30 seconds in some builds?20:54
furyshorter cycle times are good so you can deliver faster and whatnot20:54
furycurrently thinking a simple IoT device that has built in OTA updates (just point it to a URL) for that half of the demo, fewer things can go wrong. my AGL setups always seem to fail hilariously :D20:56
furythough i would really love a solid demoable AGL OTA20:56
furymaybe could do it20:56
waltminerHilarity can be fun20:57
furyif i take the time to dig into the SOTA / meta-updater / ota-ce docs i could probably pull it together since i already have kubernetes going20:57
furyjust hadn't thought that far ahead yet (is that for the whole OS or just a single app update? etc)20:58

lieberk2Hello all.  If anyone has a reliable formula for making the AGL HTML5 demo please let me know.  Coming up with the right repo, source and bitbake commands to build the demo has become challenging21:30
