syb0rghiya, what would you guys recommend for linux obd2 scanning software?16:48
*** phc has joined #automotive17:20
syb0rgSo I am looking at buying an ELM-USB to use with pyobd. Is this a better investment than a typical obd2 scanner?17:41
syb0rgare there better tools I could use with that piece of hardware? Or better hardware I should look in to?17:41
smurraysyb0rg: sorry, I've done some simple OBD-II message stuff with the stack in AGL, but not played with any of the scanner s/w17:44
smurraysyb0rg: I looked at the ELM-USB at one point, but I think I passed on buying one due to expensive shipping outside the EU17:45
smurraysyb0rg: atm a couple of us are doing CAN stuff with AGL using the Microchip USB CAN bus analyzer17:46
smurraysyb0rg: but I've no idea if there'd be any advantage over the ELM-USB17:47
syb0rgok smurray, I appreciate the information regardless. Now I have new options to research17:47
syb0rgThis is my first time hearing about AGM, looks like a *really* cool project.18:04
syb0rgerr AGL rather18:04
