scvreadyHi all! Does anybody know if the raspberrypi 4 2/4Gb can run agl-demo-platform at 1080p?10:50
smurrayscvready: I believe it should work with halibut (8.0.2 or latest) or master builds10:52
dl9pfcurrently the weston config is iirc 720p, you need to adapt and try11:00
dl9pfhttps://git.automotivelinux.org/AGL/meta-agl/tree/meta-agl-bsp/meta-raspberrypi/recipes-graphics/wayland/weston-ini-conf.bbappend11:01
scvreadyThanks so much smurray and dl9pf, yep changing weston.ini and increasing the gpu memory on the config.txt it should work11:05
dl9pfiirc fury also bumped the cma kernel config up on the pi4,11:05
dl9pfyep11:05
dl9pfcool, send us a note if it does11:06
scvreadyOkey :)11:13

furycan confirm, changed config.txt and cmdline.txt to set it to 512 instead of 256, then i could run all the apps all day at 1080p12:11
furynot sure if cmdline.txt was necessary or not (was googling around to find how to change cma on pi)12:12
furyi would submit a patch but i don't know whether that'd be a good idea for the 1 gig pi 412:13
furyno way to tell, i suppose12:13
furyunless config.txt has different options for the different ram configs12:13
furyi recall they used to have something like that when the pi originally increased its ram size, when the gpu mem split was hardcoded rather than cma12:14

Piratyis AGL a layer ontop of yocto? is it a derived SDK ?12:29
scvreadythank you fury, I have ordered mine and it's good to known it'll work fine without crashes12:35
furyPiraty: there are layers, yes - here's some repo manifest files: https://git.automotivelinux.org/AGL/AGL-repo/tree/ - they point to several yocto layers including meta-agl*12:38
scvreadyI was not sure, because couldn't see any .bbapend or something in meta-agl/meta-agl-bsp/meta-raspberry that references it can12:38
Piratythanks fury12:40
furynp. more fun stuff to look at here: https://git.automotivelinux.org/12:45
