| speklap | Greetings, trying to build the agl_demo_platform. Question about it, how much space does it take? Tried it 2 times now already but it keeps stopping when available space is less than 1gig. Would be handy to know how much I have to increase the partiion | 11:48 |
|---|---|---|
| speklap | brb, going to gpart my partitions | 12:00 |

| speklap | damn, it's going to be tight again. im at 4.3gig free space but only 21% of tasks completed | 12:55 |
| gkiagia | You need about 100gb iirc. I think it is mentioned in the documentation | 12:57 |

| speklap | serious? | 13:17 |
| speklap | i just increased it with another 20gigs. now im on the limit. I only have a 256 gig sdd, with dual boot windows and arch | 13:18 |
| speklap | fuck me | 13:18 |
| speklap | going to need a external hdd lol | 13:19 |
| smurray | speklap: stick a site.conf in the conf directory with INHERIT += "rm_work" | 13:21 |
| smurray | speklap: that will cut down on the disk usage quite a bit | 13:21 |
| speklap | ok thanks, will have a look at it. but i suppose i need to start the build from scratch than? | 13:22 |
| speklap | Im building for rpi2 btw | 13:22 |
| speklap | since Im running arch i had to change couple of files in the mesa directory | 13:23 |
| smurray | speklap: you should be able to ctrl-c, then add that and run bitbake again | 13:23 |
| smurray | speklap: what release of AGL are you trying to build? I'd thought raspberrypi2 had been removed | 13:24 |

| speklap | sorry something came up irl. Seems like I try to build flounder_6.0.4 as per https://wiki.automotivelinux.org/agl-distro/agl-raspberrypi | 16:15 |

| speklap | @smurray oh yes i see it already working. free space is going up. thanks | 16:21 |

| smurray | speklap: note that flounder is a bit old at this point, AGL moves pretty fast | 17:30 |
| speklap | ok, good to know. Im surprised this is such a build process. i have an old car with no infotainment and wanted to make something with a rpi. After some googling I found AGL which checked my points: linux-based and already written. I thought it would be simpy download the .img and dd onto the sd card. boy, am I wrong haha | 17:54 |
| smurray | speklap: you can download prebuilt images for some of the target platforms, but the agl-demo-platform image would take a lot of customization for integrating into a vehicle, which does require building | 17:58 |
| speklap | I see, I get what's happening. I should probably do some more reading up on AGL. I like the idea behind it. | 18:01 |
| speklap | thanks for your input. | 18:02 |
