GuyElpotatoHey Guys ! I'm not new to this channel and I recently discovered AGL. I really like the project and I'm currently trying out AGL on a raspberry pi! I'm trying to use the MCP2515 to communicate with a can network. But AGL didn't create an interface for me for this can transmitter. Do you have a tutorial or documentation to guide me? Is it possible to do it and has anyone ever done?14:16

kooltuxGuyElpotato, what's your CAN adapter ? is it a HAT or a USB2CAN device ? If you don't see any can interface using 'ip link', you may hit an issue with device driver module which may not be built for your adapter.15:43
kooltuxGuyElpotato, you can also ask for help here: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/automotive-discussions15:44

neurotokhello everyone, I have quick question regarding to AGL17:47
neurotokare html and Qt are really the only options for HMI development ?17:49
neurotokwhat about some light weight abstraction layers like SDL2 (Simple DirectMedia Layer) ?17:50
neurotokis it a reasonable choice when programming in GLES 2.0 ?17:51
smurrayneurotok: AFAIK you can use anything that supports wayland.  Typically you want a lot more in the toolkit in the way of UI widgets than something like SDL provides18:04
smurrayneurotok: gtk3 is another option that probably should work, but I've not heard of anyone writing a demo with it18:09
neurotokthanks smurray!18:10
smurraynp18:10
neurotokyes I mainly work in Qt/QML but I must admit I like more bare-bone environments18:11
smurrayI've heard it expressed that vendors would like a non-Qt native toolkit, but there's not really a competitive project with as much functionality AFAIK18:16
neurotokthat just for personal portfolio purposes18:17
neurotokt least  in europe where I live Kanzi UI dominates anyway18:18
neurotokI only hope that the wayland will not be a dead end18:54
