cagriulasHi, I'm working on GDP-549 in GSOC scope. It's related to QTBUG-54822. On Qt's bug reports page, affected versions are 5.6.1 and 5.7.0. So, I patched qtdeclarative from commit 26ff8f9029 to v5.6.1's first commit that is commit 18e77550f149722e0554f24ddfa326e03a9fef10. Than I cherry-picked the "V4: Free up 2 address bits in 64bit mode" commit. Is it appropriate? Or, should I cherry-pick the commit from current HEAD (commit 26ff8f9029)? I did that on15:18
cagriulas"genivi-dev-platform" master branch.15:18
CTtpollardcagriulas: It might be worth seeing if the meta-qt5 branch for 5.6 has any new updates before manually overriding to a new version15:31
CTtpollardbut if you're fixing a specific bug/ticket, I'd go with the single cherry-pick that fixes that specific criteria15:32

cagriulasI'm fixing a specific bug, so I'll try to cherry-pick that commit, thanks.15:37

jeremiahhi cagriulas16:34
cagriulashi16:34
jeremiahcagriulas: I wonder if there is any licensing issues with qtdeclaritive 5.7.016:34
jeremiahI ask becuase we've stuck with Qt 5.6 in GENIVI largely due to the move to LGPLv316:35
cagriulasI'm checking16:35
jeremiahSo if the commit you've cherry-picked is from an {L}GPLv3 version, it would be good to at least know.16:35
CTtpollard5.6.1 upstream has the fix, afaict16:36
jeremiahIts a suboptimal issue, and I don't think it should stop your work, but it will be good to know one way or the other since folks will ask.16:36
CTtpollardjust that the 5.6 current used in gdp commit of meta-qt5 is that upto date16:36
jeremiah\0/ This is the best solution, if upstream has it.16:36
CTtpollard*isn't16:36
jeremiahAh, gotcha16:37
jeremiahI say cherry-pick the commit and see what happens on your side.16:37
jeremiahThen if nothing blows up you can send a PR16:37

cagriulasI appended changes in to meta-genivi-dev/meta-raspberrypi-gdp cause I think, it's rpi related issue. It compiled successfully but I can't try it now cause I don't have rpi at the moment.16:59

mranostaydl9pf: is there any reason the wifi/bt toggle isn't persistent through reboots?20:15
mdpmranostay: no settings . you can add qsettings support and have it persist20:30
mranostayah guess that uses some nosql store?20:30
mdpmranostay, there's a larger need for an afb persistent store/settings binding20:31
mdpmranostay: it's not important, but it's just key/value text conf files in qt land20:31
mdpsmurray uses that for some radio stuff20:31
mdpif you use qsettings, it's a reasonable incremental step to expose that a binding is needed.20:33
mdpmranostay: I've been migrating some hardcoded stuff in the phone app like this.20:33
