gunnarxCTtpollard, jeremiah:  Builds are failing because git.projects.genivi.org / browser-poc.git seems to have disappeared from the old URL when moving to GitHub.  Do you know who has removed it?07:30
CTtpollardgunnarx: I do not know :/07:32
*** Saint_Isidore has quit IRC07:34
gunnarxOK. It looks like meta-genivi-dev / recipes-extended/browser-poc/browser-poc_git.bb needs the URL to be changed to GitHub as a quick fix. Then we need to check again about the process of moving repos over.07:36
gunnarxCTtpollard, I would say it would be nice if you could merge the README fix also.07:40
CTtpollardit's on my list of things to push this morning07:40

gunnarx toscalix - can you tell us more about the git hooks you installed (found one for browser-poc).  They report something back to JIRA?07:52
toscalixthe default one does what I explained + time tracking, I believe. Other features come through plugins.07:54
toscalixis that feature you have seen based on a plugin?07:54
gunnarxsorry did not understand07:55
*** kooltux_ has joined #automotive07:55
CTtpollardok readme changes pushed to all branches07:56
toscalixthe hook I installed was in JIRA by default. I did not installed any plugin. The functionality that brings is vey basic.07:57
* gunnarx reloading07:57
toscalixthere are plugings that bring more functionality07:57
toscalixI do not know anything about most of them07:58
*** CTtpollard has quit IRC07:58
gunnarxOK so you are trying some things.  The one for browser-poc reports to a URL for repository #23.  I'm just trying to understand if that reports back to a browser project in JIRA, or to the GDP project, or to a particular ticket...07:59

gunnarx_Sounds good. I'm not asking you to :)08:04
*** gunnarx has quit IRC08:04
gunnarx_Just trying to understand what the webhook does that you added to the browser-poc on Github08:04
CTtpollardtoscalix: does jira automatically pick up on the pull request due to the metadata, or does it have to be manually added? I'm looking at the example you emailed https://at.projects.genivi.org/jira/browse/GDP-15208:04
toscalixI know, I just say to reflect that, if the features involves a plugin, I cannot test it unless it is already there08:05
toscalixautomatically08:05
gunnarx_fair enough08:05
toscalixif you add the jira ticket in github, it shows up the pull request and repo in jira08:05
CTtpollardneat08:05
gunnarx_CTtpollard, the Github hook seems to ping JIRA when events happen08:05
gunnarx_As comparison the PR integration that we have in Go does not require hooks on the repo.  Generally speaking Go seems to prefer polling repos for changes, and now in the process it can see if any PR has been added.08:07
gunnarx_In some sense hooks would be nicer but the general polling strategy is very robust and just works with all repos.  And agents don't need to expose any service URLs at all.08:08

leon-anaviCTtpollard, there was a question about meta-rvi in GDP. I have just replied through the mailing list.11:56
leon-anaviBefore the transition to GitHub I submitted a patch that adds this layer.11:57
toscalixjeremiah: I would prefer for now to restrict the write access to the repos to maintainers. I prefer to make key contributors maintainers that to have conflicts among people with write access11:57

leon-anavinisha, following your question in the mailing list - were you able to build rvi sota client?14:41
chbaeah I got it in meta-rvi layer14:41
chbaeRVI is middleware. To use it, you need applications that support RVI14:41
chbaeby registering services and consuming services. Please refer to the RVI14:41
chbaedocumentation for details.14:41
leon-anavichbae, regarding RVI Core please have a look at: https://github.com/GENIVI/rvi_core/blob/develop/README.md14:42

leon-anavinisha, rvi sota client is not include by default in image genivi-dev-platform14:43
leon-anavinisha, you have to follow the wiki article and include it to the image: https://at.projects.genivi.org/wiki/display/GDP/RVI+SOTA+Client14:44
leon-anavinisha, have a look at step 3 add append: IMAGE_INSTALL_append = " rvi-sota-client "14:44

CTtpollardchbae: I'm ok for it to be an optional append like with sota-client, I would just like rvi core recipes to point to the new upstream for it14:49
chbaeCTtpollard: However, the approach may difficult to verify when we upgrade GDP.14:51

CTtpollardbut I take your point14:54
leon-anavichbae, yes, I would like to merge meta-rvi in GDP. I believe it adds value to the platform14:54
leon-anavichbae, rvi core is managed by a systemd service called rvi.service: https://github.com/PDXostc/meta-rvi/blob/master/recipes-connectivity/rvi/rvi.inc#L2114:55

leon-anaviI think I am missing a weston configuration.14:59
leon-anaviBecause there is no display, just a blank black screen and weston is failing due to:14:59

leon-anavi[13:56:09.923] No currently active connector found.15:00
