richard_mawleeming: re: https://github.com/devcurmudgeon/ybd/commit/d6cd8f0f2425d633dc0182e0b7ad63538bacba5f , I'd be careful. You can get file paths that aren't encodable as UTF-8. python3 tries to solve this with os.fsencode, which shoves in an escape sequence to represent the characters it can't represent in UTF-809:13

leemingrichard_maw, humm ok thanks for pointing that out. Unicode issues still need to be dealt with in general tho :s09:59

rjekAny suggestions for debugging/diagnosing that?10:32
* richard_maw has seen that before when the database got too large, and it was chewing CPU just reading it10:33
pedroalvarezyup, tell us how big is the database (/home/lorry/webapp.db, IIRC)10:33
rjek187MB10:34
pedroalvarezthat isn't large10:35
rjekThe machine doesn't seem very IO-busy10:35
rjekstrace suggests it /is/ thrashing that database though10:37
rjekAnd the system has used almost all its 16GB of RAM, hmm10:49
rjekHow much RAM and how many cores does g.b.o have, btw?10:58
* leeming wonders if http://downloadmoreram.com/ works via lynx or some other terminal browser10:58
pedroalvarezrjek: 8 cores, and 16GB of RAM11:00

pedroalvarezjjardon: flatpak is failing to build in mason14:18
pedroalvarezjjardon: reason, bubblewrap submodule14:19
pedroalvarezsorry I didn't spot that when merging your patches14:19
jjardonpedroalvarez: me neither, ybd didnt complain14:19
* jjardon takes a look14:19
pedroalvarezhttps://mason-x86-64.baserock.org/log/af211805b73ebc105967fe2015937b1a2da4de8e--2016-07-06%2005:06:31.log14:19
pedroalvarezmorph won't complain either, the trick is that Mason can't talk to anything else that is not git.baserock.org14:20
pedroalvarezthis way we ensure that what we are testing, is in g.b.o., otherwise, it fails14:20
jjardonpedroalvarez: maybe is a good idea to make mandatory to specify submodules in definitions?14:23
pedroalvarezit might complicate things for people that only wants quick hacks, I guess14:28
jjardonpedroalvarez: https://gerrit.baserock.org/#/c/2200/14:28
pedroalvarezfor example, you just want to build some software, without caring about submodules, etc14:29
pedroalvarezit may be useful to have some big warnings in those cases14:29
pedroalvarezjjardon: merged14:30
jjardonpedroalvarez: true, maybe an option in ybd/morph would be useful?14:30
pedroalvarezwarnings always, without giving you an option :P14:31
jjardonpedroalvarez: I do not want to stare at the screen/logs to be sure Im actually not accessing the network14:32
pedroalvarezah, I get what you mean14:33
pedroalvarezsomething like --fail-if-accessing-something-is-not-my-trove14:33
jjardonyep14:33

jjardonpedroalvarez: thanks, being tested: https://gitlab.com/baserock/definitions/pipelines/365707714:34
pedroalvarezkewl14:34
pedroalvarezjjardon: yay, that worked14:51
jjardonpedroalvarez: aaand patch submitted: https://gerrit.baserock.org/#/c/2201/15:02
pedroalvarezjjardon: tvm! :)15:03
pedroalvarezjjardon: assuming everything works with https://gerrit.baserock.org/#/c/2197/1 , i'm happy to merge it15:28
pedroalvarezbtw, nice work15:28
